Hi! I’m Kristin
i’m An artist, wife, mom, lover of nature & old things, and passionate about living a creative life.
My process
My artwork is a very personal journey, a meaningful conversation with the past and the quiet peace found in nature.
Each piece begins with a collection of found objects: delicate pressed botanicals, fragments from vintage books and textiles, and an array of thrifted curiosities. These tactile elements are layered with a rich palette of muted colors, created using acrylic and watercolor inks and paints, often accented with the subtle shimmer of gold leaf or the intricate detail of embroidery. I find joy in the process of creating, and often begin without a plan, allowing my intuition and play to lead the way. The resulting compositions are filled with an emotional depth, reflecting the intimacy I feel with my materials and the stories they tell. Creating has become a vital practice for me, a way to quiet my overactive mind and to process and express emotions that words often fail to capture.
Creativity is an exploration of life. It’s an opportunity to play, to grow, and to connect with yourself wholeheartedly. A creative practice is vital to lead a full and vibrant life.
About me
Beyond my own art, what truly lights me up is helping others discover their own creative spark.
I honestly believe that everyone is creative; sometimes we just need a little nudge or some simple tools to find inspiration or to get past mental blocks. My hope is to share easy, accessible ways to infuse creativity into everyday life, showing you that being creative isn't about being a "fine artist," but about finding joy and expression in the everyday.
When I’m not in the studio, you can find me hanging around the house with my husband, Brian, and our 3 kids. I enjoy a slow life doing simple things like reading while sipping a fun drink, watching birds from my screened porch, perusing antique malls, and taking long walks in nature.

A few more things about me…
My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 16 years and have 3 children who are 14, 10, and 4. Our little guy was our greatest surprise and brings so much laughter to our family.
I live in a small town just east of Birmingham, AL. I have lived in the Birmingham area my entire life.
Before focusing on my art, I was both a hairstylist and a family photographer.
I’m an INTJ/ Enneagram 5w4. The blend of both logic and creativity brings a lot of depth to my work.
I do graphic design work and project management for a local nonprofit, Beacon People.
I have started curating my backyard garden with various plants to invite birds and other wildlife, solely for inspiration in my art.
My boys love to ride dirt bikes. We have a track in our yard and spend many weekends throughout the year at races.
My absolute favorite thing about being creative is learning new techniques and problem solving. Mistakes are always welcome and an excuse to learn and grow.
